The 17-storey InnoCell comprises 15 floors built with 418 MiC modules.Each Module is factory made complete with internal finishes, is fully furnished with beds, desks, wardrobes, cabinets all sanitary fittings and externally has openable window curtain walls. MEP services including lighting and power, water supply and heaters are installed at the factory and are fully tested and commissioned before delivery. MiC enhanced productivity, that InnoCell was completed ahead of schedule, the construction programme was shortened by about 40%, with site installation productivity peaking at 10-12 MiC modules per day.

We responded to an urgent request to construct quarantine facilities at the Junior Police Call Permanent Activity Centre at Pat Heung and Penny's Bay. The facilities required to serve the needs of the community and support the Government’s strategy to contain the coronavirus outbreak. MiC was a logical choice as it enabled the facilities to be put into operation at the earliest possible time, without compromising safety or the quality of the finished project. At the JPC Centre at Pat Heung and Penny's Bay ,120 fully serviced quarantine units were fabricated and installed within 63 days. This was achieved despite the challenges posed by the shortage of construction materials and the temporary suspension of the MiC factory operations in China due to the coronavirus outbreak. For the project of Temporary Quarantine Facilities at Penny’s Bay, it was completed within a very short time frame of 89 days.
